Betty Rose Stuckey Preston, aged 79 died Saturday October 10 , 2020 at Brigham and Women's Hospital, Boston, MA. She was born on May 21, 1941 in New York, NY, the daughter of Lee Franklin Stuckey and Lillian (Hayman) Stuckey. She was the wife of John Carlton Preston. They were married on December 20, 1980 in Cape May New Jersey.
Betty was a woman of strong faith, courage and unconditional love, living her life believing her mantra "ASAP" (Always Say A Prayer). She held many jobs through the years from department stores to cashiering; and enjoyed Polynesian dancing as a profession, but she best enjoyed her years driving the students for MSAD 6.
Her hobbies included: attending live music; camping at Hiawatha in Hiram ME; reading and memorizing scriptures; writing prayers; attending church; archiving audio/video/photo to digital formats; volunteering at cancer institutions; gardening; caring for her birds and spending time with friends and family.
She is survived by her children: Leslie Vining, Monique McHugh, Michael Preston. Grandchildren; Crystal Lashley, Leonard Lashley, Brandon Lashley, Emily McHugh, Megan McHugh; great grandchildren: Katelyn McQueen, Daniel Blanco Tabares.
SERVICES: A graveside service will be held Friday, October 23, 2020, 12:30 PM at New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery 110 Daniel Webster Highway Boscawen, New Hampshire with Pastor Dan Ahern officiating. Family and friends are invited to attend.
Those in attendance are respectfully requested to wear face coverings and practice social distancing
Those who wish may make a donation to the American Bible Society and/or St. Jude Hospital for children.
