Beverly S. McKay

Beverly Sullivan McKay, born in 1933 maiden name Beverly June Collins of parents, John H. Collins and Dorothy E. Collins of Nashua, New Hampshire passed away December 27, 2022 at the age of 89 years, of natural causes at her home. She was one of three children. Her brothers, Jack Collins & Bob Collins preceded her.

A graduate of Nashua High School. She married Thomas “Eddie” Sullivan having five children; Sean Sullivan, Kevin Sullivan, Erin Sullivan, Brian Sullivan & Darrin Sullivan. She also leaves behind 11 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and her loyal canine companion Mac. She enjoyed teaching water ballet to the Nashua Country Club girls swim team for the annual luau, organizing marathon swim meets and coaching her children on the swim team.

In 1974 at 39 years old, Beverly became a widow after her husband Eddie was killed in a car accident, leaving her with 5 children. She went back to school & became a dental hygienist and soon thereafter, opened up her own business with her eldest son Sean Sullivan, Atlantis Seafoods Inc. in Nashua. She later moved to Los Angeles, California where she met and married Doovid Barskin and they worked together over the next decade at his business, The Barskin Agency in Hollywood CA as theatrical agents in the entertainment industry until his death in 1990. Beverly later moved back to Nashua to be with her elderly parents and cared for them for the rest of their lives. She also rekindled a relationship with a childhood friend Richard McKay of Nashua and they were happily married for 19 years before his passing in 2021. Beverly enjoyed bridge games with her close friends, worked as an advocate to provide low cost prescription drugs to the community and loved decorating her homes in Nashua and Nova Scotia for the holidays. 

A Graveside celebration of Beverly's life will be held on Saturday, Feruary 25th at 11:00 AM at the Edgewood Cemetery, 107 Amherst St. Nashua, NH.

In Beverly's memory, donations can be made to the St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital.
