Beverly Ellen (Sciore) Soule passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at The Courville Nashua on Monday November 17, 2025. She was born in Brockton in 1928, and was 97 years old.
Growing up Beverly spent her summers on Nantasket Beach. Spending time at the beach was an integral part of Beverly’s life (she even had a family cottage named after her) and she passed that love on to her children and grandchildren. She is best remembered walking on the beach collecting seashells with her children and grandchildren.
Beverly’s life was defined by her love of her family. She was happiest when surrounded by her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She never turned down an opportunity to spend time with family – hosting Thanksgiving and Easter dinners, babysitting the grandkids, attending sporting events and NEVER once turning down an opportunity for a visit!
She encouraged those she loved to be their full, spirited selves while remaining respectful and grateful for the family around them. She prioritized her loved ones wholeheartedly and was present for every major milestone in her grandchildren’s lives. Soccer games, track meets, birthday parties, horse shows, you name it. Every occasion was a celebration with Gram. Her unwavering positivity touched everyone she met, and because of her, it’s never hard for those who knew her to look toward the brighter side.
Another attribute of Beverly was her impeccable sense of style. She was always dressed perfectly head to toe including the jewelry she wore and the right handbag for every occasion. She was rarely seen without her lipstick on, even applying it just to go the mailbox!
She loved to travel throughout the United States as well as cruises to Europe with her coworkers from Macy’s and other trips with her beloved nieces Peggy and Lee and daughter Jo- Ann. When they were not able to go to Italy as planned the nieces arranged a trip to “Cape Tuscany” on the Cape at Lee’s cottage.
Beverly always talked about how lucky she was, often saying “Life is Good”, even at 97. Her incredibly positive spirit was infectious to all she came in contact with, including the many strangers she would engage in conversations.
She was a bright ray of sunshine, spreading her light wherever she went. Beverly was well loved and will live in or hearts forever.
Beverly was predeceased by her husband, George Howard Soule. She is survived by her son Ernest M. Cerce and his wife Lydia, Rickey Cerce and his wife Mary Grace, Jo-Ann Cerce Keady, Terri Connolly and her husband Brian, Michael Soule and his wife Michelle, Christopher Soule and Paul Soule. She also leaves behind 14 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and nieces Peggy Cummings and Lee Carey.
Funeral services will be private. A celebration of Beverly’s life will be held at a later date.
