Blanche Rose Smith

Blanche Rose Smith (Roy), wife, mother, and friend, passed away peacefully at her home in Milford, NH on November 23, 2023. She was born on June 9, 1937, in Nashua, NH to the late Joseph and Adeline Roy.

Blanche had an admirable work ethic and dedicated many years of service to multiple professions. She spent 28 years working at Bemis in Nashua, NH before becoming a compassionate LNA Home Health aid for 10 years. Later on, she joined Hazmateam in Hudson, NH where she worked diligently for 22 years.

Outside of her professional life, Blanche had many hobbies and interests that brought her joy. Knitting was one of her favorite pastimes as it allowed her to create beautiful pieces with love and care. She also enjoyed solving puzzles, challenging herself to unravel complexities and find solutions.

Blanche was preceded in death by her sons, Leo Allen, and Steve Allen, daughter, Cindy Allen, brother, Robert Roy, and sister, Rita Lizzie.

Those left to cherish her memory include; her loving husband of 62 years, Richard Smith, daughters, Susan Winslow (husband Donald), Lori Stokes (husband Ronald), Linda Miller (husband Brian), Jane Clark (husband Brian), sons, Richard Smith Jr. (wife Patricia), Anthony Smith; and many adoring grandchildren, who brought an abundance of joy into her life. She is also survived by her sister, Annette Parker, and brother, Normand Roy, who were sources of strength and friendship. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
