Blanche M. Tanguay

Blanche Mary (Berube) Tanguay, 98, died on Saturday, November 11, 2023 at Hanover Hill Health Care Center in Manchester, NH with family by her side. Blanche was born on January 24, 1925 in Lawrence, Massachusetts to George and Rose Berube and was the youngest of eight children.

Blanche was the wife of Walter Philip Tanguay. They were married on September 2, 1946 in Lawrence, MA. They were married for 64 years at the time of Walter’s death on August 24, 2010.

Prior to retirement, Blanche had worked for 25 years at the Hannaford grocery store on Bicentennial Drive in Manchester, NH.

Blanche was a talented seamstress, crafter, and baker. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, creating a variety of crafts, making puzzles, and baking treats for family and friends.

Blanche is survived by one daughter, Sandra Tanguay; three granddaughters, Christine Morse, Michelle Graham, and Kelly Ewald; seven great grandchildren; and three great, great grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM, Monday, November 20, 2023, at the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery, 110 Daniel Webster Highway, Boscawen, NH. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Alzheimer’s Association at https://www.alz.org. The Cremation Society of NH is assisting the family with arrangements.
