On Saturday, September 15, 2018, Bliss S. Magoon Sr. loving husband to Claire (Plante) and father of 7 beautiful children, passed away at the age of 81.

Bliss was born on March 20, 1937 in Lincoln, NH to Merlin and Dorothy (Burbank) Magoon.

Bliss married the love of his life Claire (Plante) on July 4, 1959. They raised 7 children, Bliss Jr (wife Jennifer Dowes), Robin Dowes (husband John), Donna Owen (husband Chris), Scott (wife Diana Tucker), Betty Corliss (Husband Stephen), Wendy LaClair (husband Reggie) and Samantha Nichols.

Bliss and Claire resided in Northwood. Where Bliss worked on Johnson's Farm. He then went to work for A & B Well Drilling, Tasker & Partridge Well Drilling, then he bought two Well Machines and started Magoon's Artesian Well. If your well is out of tune, call Magoon, Sure as an otter we'll find water. He worked for D.W. Ford for a period of time. This is where his love of Mac Trucks comes from.
They moved to Corinth, Vermont in 1982 where he worked for Corinth Highway Department and Johnson's Lumber. In 2002 they moved to Parsonsfield, Maine to retire. Family and friends built a log cabin that they had dreamed about for 40 years.
November 2015 Bliss had a stroke. This is what brought them back to Loudon, NH in January 2018. They wanted to be around their children.

They have 15 grandchildren, Cynthia Paris, Sarah Bragdon (husband Adam), John Dowes III (wife Mary), Courtney Brown (significant other Nick Porcella), Scott Owen, Alicia Owen, Crystal Coburn (husband Corey), Jennifer Magoon, Christopher Hugron Corliss, Rachael LaClair (significant other Peter Barton), Andrew LaClair, Brandon LaClair, Shawn Nichols (Fiance' Trisha), Tony Nichols and 3 great grandchildren Madison Paris, Chloe Coburn, Cole Coburn, and soon to be great grandchild Autumn. He also leaves behind a brother Kenneth Magoon, Sr and Sister Coral Nieder. He was predeceased by three brothers, John Ingalls, Robert (Rocky) Magoon, Sr, and Marcus Magoon.

Dad was a millionaire, He has the love of his family. In-laws, Nieces, Nephews and cousins. He had many friends, Friends that he called family. Dad wanted to thank everyone that helped him. He was a hard worker. He took great care of his family. He loved to hunt and fish. He had a great sense of humor, he gave as well as he got. We will miss his story telling and reminiscing.

Services: Celebration of Life will be at 11 a.m, Saturday, September 22, 2018 at The Sweet Spot, 85 Mudgett Hill Rd. Loudon. Family and Friends are invited to attend. Bring your stories and memories.
