Bonnie Jean Olson

Bonnie Jean Olson, passed peacefully on Thursday morning, April 17th, she was 62 years old. Her dedicated mom Clare, as well as an amazing Hospice Team, loved her and took very good care of Bonnie in her last days and years.

Bonnies sunny disposition, despite many health challenges, will be missed by all who knew her. She made friends with caregivers and her hospice team, who were all so committed and loving toward her. They stated they especially loved their visits to Bonnie, she cheered them up! Bonnie made friends of strangers, offering a compliment or a positive message of hope to all she encountered. She would deliver little gifts or embellished cards to people in her world, even the "drive thru" woman at DD, giving her a heart rock with "you matter" on it, people loved her sweet gestures. It was important to her to make an effort to cheer someone up and lift their spirits. When anyone was leaving her presence she would always make sure she gave you a "Drive Safe, Be Safe!" at every departure.

One of her favorite things in life was music, especially Rock n Roll. She attended many concerts, meeting Ozzie was a thrill, hearing Tom Petty, the BeeGees and seeing Bono of U2 many times as they were her favorite. She was so happy to attend a concert this summer, seeing Dave Mathews with Deb. She listened to and knew the lyrics to most songs, she could tell you what instruments were being played. She loved it all. She could have been a great DJ.

She loved all animals, especially her cats, and King her nephew dog. Watching and sharing "cute" animal videos made her happy, she loved listening to and feeling the rain.

Bonnie was born June 29, 1962 and raised in Wilmington Massachusetts, she was a graduate of Wilmington HS, class of 1981. In the early years, happy summers were spent on Country Pond in Newton NH, swimming and fishing, waterskiing and riding bikes in the "Grove". She and her partner settled in Manchester NH.

She is survived by her devoted mother Clare (Wesinger) Olson Chapski, her sister Deborah (Olson) Colt and brother in law Torsten Colt of Hartland VT, nieces Katherine and Samantha Colt both of Hartland, as well as step siblings Karli Olson Butters and Gerald Chapski.

She was predeceased by her father Carl Olson, as well as her life partner Kenneth Harriman, her step dad Alexander Chapski and her two kitties Mookie and Smokey Bear.

Good friend and neighbor Jeff & fur buddy Shelby, her aunts & uncles, many cousins and friends will miss Bonnie and her bright and happy spirit. A memorial service is planned for early summer.

Fly and spread your wings Bonnie, light and colorful butterfly, we'll be looking for you.
