Bonnie Lou Payson-Belisle

Bonnie Lou Payson-Belisle was born December 24, 1947 in Windsor, VT to Andrew and Edna Belisle. The fifth born of six children, Bonnie loved her siblings and kept strong bonds with all of them, especially her beloved sister Mary, who she said has become her best friend in the golden years they’ve shared together. Bonnie grew up in Hartland, VT and attended Windsor Highschool where she graduated. Immediately after graduating, Bonnie began working for the VA Medical Center in White River Junction, VT where she worked for 48 years until her retirement. Bonnie loved her garden, shopping for the best deals in the Upper Valley, finding her peace listening to the Maine ocean waves, scavenging for seashells and seaglass along the Marginal Way, and being a mother as well as a Nana.

Bonnie was always known for her astounding generosity, her welcoming heart, and her fierce loyalty to her friends and family. Bonnie passed away into the next life peacefully after a full day visiting with friends and family on the night of September 18, 2021 at the Jack Byrne Center for Palliative and Hospice Care in Lebanon, New Hampshire.

She is survived by her daughter Gretchen Beisler, her siblings Mary Blanchard and Richard Belisle, her grandchildren Kyle Payson and Cassidy Beisler, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins generations over. She is predeceased by her parents, her sisters Pat Dugdale and Linda Tomah, and her brother Maurice Belisle.

A graveside memorial service will be held at the Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Bridgewater, VT on a date and time yet to be finalized, but further details will be released shortly by the family.
