Bradley A. Nason, 73, formerly of Portsmouth, died on December 31, 2001 at Riverside Rest Home in Dover after a lengthy illness. Mr. Nason was born on February 18, 1928 in Westbrook, ME, the son of the late Delbert and Lillian (Whitney) Nason. He was a US Air Force veteran who served during the Korean War. Mr. Nason was a chef for Poland Springs in Poland, ME, Wentworth by the Sea in New Castle and the Mt. Washington Hotel in Bretton Woods, NH. He was an avid bridge player and ran a bridge club out of Portsmouth. Family members include his wife of 44 years, Ruth (Long) Nason; one son Charles Nason of Dover; five daughters, Beth Archer of Rollinsford, NH, Laurel Miles of Albuquerque, NM, Diane Nason of Kennebunk, ME, Rebecca Cail of E. Rochester, NH, and Eilleen Nason of Texas; ten grandchildren; two great grandchildren; three brothers, Percy Nason of TN, David Nason of Falmouth, ME, and Wayne Nason of Cornish, ME; one sister Rebecca Williams of Standish, ME; many nieces and nephews. Mr. Nason was predeceased by a son Stephen Nason. There will be a memorial service on Saturday, January 12th at 1:00 PM at Dover Baptist Church on Washington Street. Burial will take place at Pine Grove Cemetery in N. Yarmouth, ME in the spring.
