Bradley David Newcomb, 75, of Canterbury passed away Thursday, May 28th following a period of declining health.
Bradley was born in Braintree, MA on October 6, 1939 to Ernest and Elizabeth (Evans) Newcomb. He was educated in Massachusetts and entered the workforce immediately after finishing school. Over the years, he resided in Massachusetts, Arizona and New Hampshire. He spent several years operating a gas station in Rochester, but spent the bulk of his working life as a factory worker and in his later years as a truck driver and hauled for many companies, including Ross Express and Baron's Major Brands.
Bradley enjoyed fishing and going for motorcycle rides along the coast of Maine and New Hampshire. In the later years of his life, he began to form a closer bond with his children.
Bradley is survived by his brother Ronald Newcomb and his children, Liz Newcomb, Ernie Newcomb, Regina Holland, Ruby Chase, Mary Desfosses, Matt Newcomb, and Jennifer Tucker. He also leaves behind 14 grandchildren, Jonathan, Kimberly, Kevin, Eddie, Debbie, Travis, Kayla, Sarah, Michelle, Nicholas, Nathan, LeraElizabeth, Samantha, and Annie, and 7 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his brother, Raymond Newcomb and one son, Roger Newcomb.
Family and friends are invited to gather Thursday, June 4th 2:00-3:00pm at the Cremation Society of New Hampshire, 172 King Street in Boscawen, NH. A memorial service will begin at 3:00pm in the Cremation Society chapel. Burial will follow immediately at Park Cemetery in Tilton. In lieu of flowers donations in Bradley's memory may be made to New Hope Baptist Church, 225 Scattersville Road, Portland, TN 37148 as a thank you for their extreme generosity and effort to ensure all of the family could be together during this difficult time.
