Brenda L. Jarvis, 84, of Pittsfield, passed away on June 29, 2023. Born on June 21, 1939 in North Stratford, the daughter of Elmer and Helen Jarvis.
Brenda, also known as grammy, grandmama, grams, or Gammy Blenda, depending on the grandchild and great-grandchild, loved her family dearly. She would come up from Florida each summer and get together at a family dinner and even some Christmas', she braved the cold weather. She decided to move back to New Hampshire to be closer to family in her later years and enjoyed restoring an 1801 cottage into a beautiful happy home.
She had a passion for reading and when she could no longer read because her eyesight was poor, she listened to books on her Kindle. She enjoyed her shows and loved listening to the debates on The Voice. She was proud of how far she had come in the world, from a time when her ex-husband had to co-sign a car loan for her even though she had her own job, to having a wonderful career at the Manchester City Library, and then volunteering at a local hospital in Ocala, Florida.
She is now with her loving family members who departed before her and they're all singing and dancing together once again.
Brenda is survived by her daughter Tammy Davis of Pittsfield, and her brothers, Richard Jarvis and Dennis Goodreau both of Epsom. Also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Brenda is a retired librarian of Carpenter Memorial, a member of First Congregational Church in Manchester, and a member of Sweet Adeline's Chorus in Florida.
