Brian Leo Casey, 77, of Salem, NH and formerly of Honolulu, Hawaii died Sunday, April 20, 2003 following a lengthy illness. Mr. Casey was born in Chelsea, MA the son of the late Leo and Mildred (Carter) Casey. He was educated in Chelsea schools and graduated form Northeastern University. Mr. Casey enjoyed a career in journalism and in state government while in Honolulu and upon retirement he returned to the northeast. He is survived by his wife of 16 years, Shirley (Alpert Dushane) Casey. He was the loving father of Leo Casey of Honolulu and Sean and his wife, Paulette Casey also of Honolulu. He was a devoted step father to Jerold Dushane of Haverhill, MA and Kenneth and his wife Meredith Dushane of Windham, NH. Mr. Casey was a loving grandfather to Nyle, Katherine and Pumehana Casey of Honolulu and Popsy to Ayla Dushane of Derry and Alysia and Julia Rose Dushane of Haverhill, MA. He was the brother of Leo and his wife Ann Casey of North Reading, MA, Sheila and her husband Robert Marble of Hyannis, MA, and Carol and her husband Robert Munnelly of Nahant, MA. He also leaves behind many loving nieces and nephews and the Alpert family. He was predeceased by a brother, Donal Casey who resided in Chelsea, MA. All services are private.
