Brian Douglas Prest

Brian Douglas Prest, 69, of Derry, NH, passed away on September 10, 2022 at the Community Hospice House in Merrimack with his family by his side after a battle with brain cancer. Born March 4, 1953 in Rochester, NH, he was a son of the late Elmer and Ruth (Smith) Prest.

Brian was raised in Alton, NH and spent his childhood on Lake Winnipesaukee area. He worked in maintenance for many years and retired from Pleasant Valley Nursing Home in Derry. He loved anything to do with the ocean and as a young adult, Brian explored the world with his older brother, Andre, sailing around the world.

Brian is survived by his brothers, Andre Prest, Leslie Prest (Fran), and Jeffrey Prest (Ricky), all of San Diego, CA, and Edward Prest (Marie) of Manchester; many nieces and nephews, including his two favorite nieces, Shana Chauvin (Justin) of Bedford, and Pam Moore of Tennessee; as well as many extended family members and friends. In addition to his parents, Brian was predeceased by his brothers, Alan and Gregory Prest, and his good friend, Tom McMillan, who preceded him in death 20 years ago to the day.

A Memorial Gathering will be held on Thursday, September 15^th from 5-7PM at the Cremation Society of New Hampshire, 243 Hanover Street, Manchester, NH.
