Brigit grew up in Voorheesville, NY, and graduated from Clayton A. Bouton High School, where she is remembered as an all-star athlete and exemplary student. She attended Franklin Pierce University, where she played Division II volleyball and received a B.A. in social work and counseling.

Brigit spent her life supporting victims of domestic and sexual abuse and families of homicide victims, working many years as a victim and witness advocate for the state Department of Justice. She was cherished by colleagues and victims' families alike for the unwavering compassion and dedication she showed to all she served. She will be remembered as a pillar of strength, and an unyielding force in the fight for good.

Brigit's generosity was unmatched; she always came bearing gifts and words of affirmation. She loved all animals, caring for her dog Mazey, her guinea pigs, and her plants, playing intramural volleyball, baking and cooking, and spending time with her friends and family. At the time of her death, she was starting a project to help the homeless in downtown Manchester.

She will be dearly missed by all whose lives she touched.
