Bruce E. Barnes, 60, of Rochester, NH died on Sunday, June 13, 2021 after a long courageous battle with cancer. He passed at his home surrounded by family and friends.
Bruce was born on May 8, 1961, in Rochester, NH, the son of the late Ronald and Mary (Cook) Barnes. He was a lifelong resident of Rochester, NH.
He was employed at Jeager USA (Textile Tapes) where he was a machine operator for 26years.
Bruce was a loving and dedicated husband and father. He was always willing to help anyone and could fix anything.
He enjoyed many activities including playing softball, white water rafting and coaching little league baseball. You could always find him outside working on something, mostly his lawn and/or projects all around his home. Bruce was an avid New England sports fan and loved all animals and nature.
Bruce is predeceased by his son Kyle Barnes, his father Ronald Barnes, his mother Mary (Cook) Barnes all of Rochester.
He is survived by his wife Adele Barnes of Rochester, his stepdaughter Suzanne and her husband Jason Collins of Gonic, NH; his stepson Joseph and his wife Alex Nichols of Eliot, ME; his granddaughter Jayda Collins who was the apple of his eye and he was her Bobit. Two brothers, Ronald Barnes & his wife Jo-Ann of Lebanon, ME; and Robert Barnes of Gonic, NH. His sister Debra (Barnes) Grondin and her husband David of Gonic, NH. Several nieces and nephews, along with many friends. Bruce was a great man and he will be missed by all.
SERVICES: A graveside service will be held at Holy Rosary Cemetery, in Rochester, NH on July 13, 2021 at 11:00 AM
Donations in Bruce's name may be made to a charity of one's choice.
