IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Bruce
Belmer
October 30, 1951 – March 14, 2026
Bruce Henry Belmer, 74, of Exeter, NH, passed away on March 14, surrounded by his loving family. He was born at home in Atkinson, NH, on October 30, 1951, to Frank Porter Belmer and June Azalie Davis. The youngest of seven children, he was doted on by his six older siblings.
In 1970, he graduated from Whittier Trade School in Haverhill, MA, with a certificate in upholstery, marking the beginning of a 55-year career devoted to his craft. After several years working at HiGrade Upholstery in Bradford, MA, he started his own business, Craftmaster, where he worked until December 2025, when illness led him to close his doors for the last time. Anyone fortunate enough to collaborate with Bruce on a project knew he was passionate, creative, and committed to nothing less than perfection in his work. A true entrepreneur and master upholsterer, he worked tirelessly and took immense pride in his craft.
Bruce also had a deep love for computers and technology. Curious and always eager to learn, he enjoyed exploring the newest technology and helping others along the way, often building custom computer systems for friends and family. He also loved spending time gaming online, tinkering with his saltwater fish tank, cooking for his family, and gardening. His ability to plan, plant, and maintain lush flower gardens for all to enjoy was truly a gift.
Bruce lived a life defined by hard work and devotion to his family. Nothing brought him greater fulfillment than providing for and caring for the people he loved. While he never sat still for long, it wasn’t hard to find him—you just had to listen for him whistling a tune, a sound those who love him will miss dearly.
Bruce is survived by his wife of 42 years, Lynne (Carroll) Belmer; his siblings, Porter Frank Belmer and Jacqueline (Belmer) Wilson; his children, Monique (Belmer) Magnuson, Mitchel Belmer, and Lauren (Belmer) Drouin; and his granddaughters, Victoria Patnode, Charlotte Drouin, and Rhyan Drouin. He was predeceased by his parents and four of his six siblings.
His life will be celebrated privately by family and friends. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Bruce’s name to Beth Israel Hospice.
Assisting the family with arrangements is the Cremation Society of NH, Hampton. To view Bruce's Online Tribute, send condolences to the family, or for more information, visit www.csnh.com.
