Bruce Roy Benoit

**Beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather, Business Owner, and Lifelong Pelham Resident**

Bruce Roy Benoit, 88, of Pelham, New Hampshire, passed away on July 20, 2026. He was born on July 16, 1938, to the late Rena Abbott Benoit and Alfred Robert Benoit. One of nine children, Bruce grew up surrounded by a large family and carried the importance of family with him throughout his life.

Bruce was the beloved husband of the late Patricia Ann “Pat” Benoit, with whom he shared nearly 65 years of marriage. Bruce and Patricia met while working in the shoe trade and quickly fell in love. They were married on September 7, 1957, surrounded by family and friends. Shortly thereafter, they settled in Pelham, where they raised their three sons, Kevin, Kenneth, and Dale, and built a life centered around family, hard work, and community.

Bruce was a proud and familiar presence throughout the Pelham community. He and Patricia owned and operated Benoit Auto Sales, where Bruce sold vehicles and performed auto body repairs. Together, they also established Mammoth Heights Land Development and Home Building. Bruce took great pride in his work and developed lasting relationships with customers, local businesses, and many friends throughout the community.

Cars were much more than Bruce’s profession; they were one of his greatest passions. He enjoyed building and racing cars alongside his family, creating memories that would be shared for generations. Whether he was working in the garage, attending a race, conducting business, or simply telling stories with friends, Bruce enjoyed bringing people together through his love of automobiles.

Bruce also treasured time spent away with the people closest to him. He and Patricia enjoyed summers at Newfound Lake, winters snowmobiling in northern New Hampshire, trips to Florida, and many other travels and adventures. Some of his fondest memories were made with Patricia and their dear friends, Patricia “Pat” Landry and John “Ike” Stanavich.

Above all, Bruce was devoted to his family. He was a proud father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and great-great-grandfather who valued the time spent with those he loved.

Bruce was predeceased by his parents, Rena Abbott Benoit and Alfred Robert Benoit; his beloved wife, Patricia Ann Benoit; his son, Kenneth “Kenny” B. Benoit; and his siblings, Alda Lawrence, Robert Benoit, Beverley Soucy, Richard Benoit, Paul Benoit, and Shirley Benoit.

He is survived by his sons, Kevin Benoit and Dale Benoit; his daughter-in-law, Andrea Benoit, wife of the late Kenny Benoit; his sisters, Brenda Cederberg and Sandra Benoit; his four granddaughters, Michele Veillette, Shannon Burns, Courtney Benoit, and Brittany Lebel; his many beloved great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and lifelong friends.

Bruce will be remembered for his strong work ethic, his love of cars, his devotion to his family, and the many friendships he formed throughout his life. His presence in the Pelham community and the legacy he built with Patricia will not be forgotten.

He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew him.

SERVICES: A Memorial Mass will be held on Tuesday, July 28, 2026, 11am, at St. Patrick Church, 12 Main Street in Pelham. Interment will follow Mass at Gibson Cemetery in Pelham. Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
