Carl R. Hooper, 67, of 5 Howard Street, Wilton died suddenly on July 29, 2000 at his home. Mr. Hooper was born on October 2, 11932 in Machias, Maine the son of the late Percy and Elmira (Clark) Hooper. He was a custodian for New England Business Service for over ten years. He was a US Navy Veteran from 1950 until 1959 and served during the Korean War. He was a former member of the American Legion in Wilton and a member VFW in Milford, NH. Mr. Hooper was a loving father. He was an avid fisherman, hunter and sports enthusiast. Family members include; his wife of 38 years, Audrey (Foster) Hooper; two sons, James (Diane) Smith of Saugus, MA and Michael (Barbara) Porter of Dover, NH; three daughters James (Jill) Cuddihy of Wilton, NH, Laurie Wright of Jaffrey and Robert (Deborah) Maciorowski of Milford, NH; eleven grandchildren, three great grandchildren; one brother Leonard Hooper of Roque Bluffs, Maine; one sister Betty St. Pierre of Machias, Maine; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, August 10, 2000 at 2:00 PM at Laurel Hill Cemetery, Abbott Hill Road, Wilton.
