Carl D Westover III, 68, of Chichester, died Monday, February 24, 2014 surrounded by his loving family,
He was born to Carl Jr. and Georgina (Thompson) Westover, September 22, 1945 in Goffstown, NH. Carl attended Goffstown High School and proudly served his country by enlisting in the Navy after his graduation in 1963. When he returned, he enrolled in New Hampshire Vocational Technical Colleges to become a Master Electrician. Carl was employed at Trans Osram Sylvania for 13 years and went on to work for General Electric for 12 years until his retirement.
Carl was a caring, intelligent, funny man who was always available when it came to helping others. He was a loving husband and father and a loyal friend who could fix just about anything mechanical or technical. Carl enjoyed hunting, gardening, canning vegetables, making car repairs, and above all, he was passionate for Sudoku.
Carl is survived by his wife of many years, Joyce (Masson), his daughter, Melisa Porter of Manchester, his granddaughters, Abigail, Emilie, and Molly all from Manchester, his brother in laws, Bernard (wife Phyllis) from Concord, André (wife Rachel) from Canada, his sister in laws, Monique Masson of Canada, Lise Masson of Manchester, Sylvie Bourque (husband Del) of Manchester, mother in law, Rita Masson of Canada, many nieces and nephews, and his good friend, Raleigh Tobine of Bow.
Along with his parents, Carl was also predeceased by his father in law, Sylvio Masson of Canada and his sister in law, Angele Masson of Canada.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that all loving remembrances be made out to the Manchester VA Medical Center www.manchester.va.gov/ in Carl's name.
Services: A committal service will be on Friday, March 7 at 11am at the New Hampshire State Veteran's Cemetery 110 Daniel Webster Highway Rt. 3 Boscawen, NH with military honors.
