Carla S. Holden lost her battle with a progressive illness. The daughter of Amelia S Holden and Carl F Holden Jr. She is preceded by her parents, brother Jay S. Cuter and sister Lee H. Lane. Carla leaves behind her husband, John LaPlante, and grandson, Cole of Dunbarton, NH. Daughter, Sunny Donohoe, son-in-law Michael Donohoe, grandchildren Amelia, Michael, and Willow of Merrimack, NH, as well as her stepson, Dennis LaPlante of York, ME. Brothers Carl F Holden of Sebring FL, Ted Holden of Dracut, MA and Randolph “Rip” Holden of Manchester, NH., sister Pat Gose of Sebring FL.

Carla worked in the hospitality business for over forty years where she was well known. The last restaurant she worked in was Julian’s in Manchester, NH. Where she brought a smile to many over the years.

She could often be seen outside tending to her flower gardens with her dog, or riding horses next door. Despite multiple adversities Carla would always rise to support family, friends, and neighbors. She loved her town and the people in it.

She will be missed by all those who knew her.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, August 15, 2026 at 200 Robert Rogers Rd Dunbarton, NH 03046 from 2pm-4pm.
