Caroline Catherine Schmeltz

Caroline C. (Countryman) Schmeltz, 80, of Grappone Drive in Concord, died Monday, Jan. 21, 2008, at the home of her daughter after a short battle with cancer. She was born Aug. 15, 1927, in High Falls, N.Y., the daughter of David and Anna (Christiana) Countryman. She was predeceased by her husband, Charles F. Schmeltz Sr., who died in 1961 while he was serving in the U.S. Air Force. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, who loved spending time with her family and dog Molly. The family includes her lifelong companion, Buras C. Wilber; son and daughter-in-law, Charles and Janet Schmeltz of Hooksett; son and daughter-in-law, David and Diane Schmeltz of Scottsdale, Ariz.; daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and Kenneth Owens of Concord; daughter and son-in-law, Debra and Joseph Muzio of Tarpon Springs, Fla.; and son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Donya Schmeltz of Lynn, Mass.; 14 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Services will not be held. Burial will be held in the spring in Stone Ridge, N.Y.
