Carolyn M. Varney

Carolyn M. Varney, 72, formerly of 123 Woodhill Road in Bow died March 11, 2004 at Merrimack County Nursing Home in Boscawen following a lengthy illness. Ms. Varney was born of January 27, 1932 in Nashua the daughter of the Oren and Evelyn (McEwen) Wheeler. She graduated from Concord High School in 1950. In the 1960’s she worked at Knowell Crest Gardens in Concord and after 22 years of service, she retired from the New Hampshire State Hospital where she was a LNA. Ms. Varney enjoyed knitting and crocheting as well as camping with her family. Family members include; two sons, Raleigh Tobine of Bow and Robert Varney of Concord; three daughters, Catherine Wright of CT, Cinthia Drew of Chichester and Donna O’Dell;; of Concord; her step-mothers, Alice A. Wheeler of Bow; 17 grandchildren; three grandchildren; two sisters, Margaret Smith of FL and Elma Lane of Loudon, NH. She was predeceased by two brothers, Oren S. Wheeler and Charles M. Wheeler. A Graveside Service will be held at Evans Cemetery in Bow and will be announced at a later date.
