Catherine M. Green

Catherine Marie (Binis) Green, a beloved wife, mother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on January 11, 2025, at the age of 66. Born on February 24, 1958, in Buffalo, NY, Cathy was the cherished daughter of John Biniszkiewicz, DDS and Dorothy (Okie) Binis, both of whom preceded her in death. 

Cathy was a dedicated and compassionate individual who spent her career as a college advisor at St. Paul’s School in Concord, NH. She was a proud alumna of Clarence High School in New York and S.U.N.Y Fredonia, NY where she earned her B.A. in Psychology.

On October 1, 1983, Cathy married the love of her life, Robert J. Green. Together, they built a beautiful life in New Hampshire, where they raised their son, Jonathan Green. Cathy was a devoted mother-in-law to Amber Green and a loving aunt to her nieces and nephews: Samantha (Barry) Hoffman, Leigh (Jason) Smith, Laura (Jonathan) Vesneske, Adam (Kristen) Batt, Meaghan (George) McCully, and Christopher Binis.

Cathy is also survived by her siblings, Michael (Sharon) Binis and Jessica (Bradley) Batt. She was preceded in death by her sister, Carol (Michael) Curry. 

Cathy had a passion for gardening, cooking, shopping, and taking scenic rides to the ocean or the mountains. She found joy in bird watching and cherished her vacations in Pittsburg, NH, and visits to family in New York. She remained true to her roots as an unwavering Buffalo Bills fan. Her home was always filled with love, laughter, and the companionship of her beloved pets: Tally, Tucker, Hunter, Danny, Boomer, and Smokey.

Cathy's life was enriched by the special friendships she formed with coworkers at St. Paul’s School and lifelong bonds started in Buffalo. These friendships brought her immense joy and comfort throughout her life.

Cathy will be remembered for her warm heart, gentle spirit, and unwavering dedication to her family and friends. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. 

A Celebration of Life will be held at 1pm on Saturday, May 3, 2025 at the Cremation Society of NH (172 King Street, Boscawen, NH 03303).
