Catherine Klimas Roby

Catherine Klimas Roby, 89, of Hudson, NH, died at home on October 19th after a brief illness. Mrs. Roby was born in Gardner, Massachusetts on May 5, 1914, daughter of the late Alexander and Anna (Zedalis) Klimas. She was the widow of Howard H. Roby. Catherine was a member of the Hudson Seniors. She knitted countless pairs of gloves, hats and mittens that she donated to the Seniors Craft Fairs. She was well known for her paintings of New England and the sea shore. She was an avid reader and especially loved books about Australia. Mrs. Roby eagerly shared the fruits, vegetables and flowers that she grew in her gardens, and could often found working in her yard. She is survived by two sisters; Mary Lindquist and Nellie Donah; two sister-in-law, Stella Klimas and Isabelle Klimas; several nieces, nephews; and special friends. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, Oct. 23, 2003, at the Holy Cross Cemetery, Ledge Road in Hudson at 2:00 pm.
