Cathy Jean
Reny
Feb 21, 1950 — Oct 5, 2026
Keene, NH
Cathy Jean (Taylor) Reny, 76, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 5, 2026, at Alpine Healthcare Center in Keene, New Hampshire.
Born in Brattleboro, Vermont, on February 21, 1950, she was the beloved daughter of the late Richard Taylor and Madge (Woodward) Taylor. Cathy attended Kurn Hattin and Monadnock High School. She spent most of her life in New Hampshire, residing in Swanzey, Keene, and Hillsboro, and dedicated many years of hard work to factory settings, including Concord Portex in Keene.
A proud Catholic woman, Cathy found joy in life's simple pleasures and had a variety of talents and passions. She was a gifted musician who loved playing her trombone and had a penchant for whistling. In her free time, she enjoyed singing, solving puzzles, trying her luck with scratch tickets, and playing games like Yahtzee and cribbage. A fan of classic entertainment, she could often be found watching Old Western TV shows and movies, all while indulging her sweet tooth with her favorite treats—chocolates and ice cream.
Cathy was predeceased by her loving son, Erick Jason Reny.
She is survived by her devoted daughters, Lorie Bunker and her husband Ray Burns, and Alice Lorette and her husband Timothy Lorette; her sister, Debra Hilow and her husband Bruce.
Her memory will be cherished by her nine grandchildren: Thomas Reny, Amanda Reny, Travis Reny, Natasha Miller, Tiffany Miller, Dillon Burns, Amber Reny, Jade Lorette, and Rebecca Lorette; her great-grandchildren: Dameon, Dominic, Skylar, Landon, Jeremiah, and Josephine; her nieces and nephews: Adrienne Leclerc, Tanya Hilow-Rokes, and Bruce Hilow Jr.; along with an abundance of great-nieces, great-nephews and extended family.
Assisting the family with arrangements is the Cremation Society of NH, Brattleboro. To view Cathy's Online Tribute, send condolences to the family, or for more information, visit www.csnh.com.
