Cecile L. Aikens, 70, of Nashua died at home on September 14, 2004 following a long courageous battle with caner. Mrs. Aikens was born on May 9, 1934 in Nashua, the daughter of the late Wilfred and Lillian (Marchand) Petrain. Prior to retirement she was a factory worker for several local factories. She was a wrestling enthusiast. Mrs. Aikens was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Family members include; her husband of 49 years, Nute Aikens; five sons, Anthony Aikens of Nashua, Curtis Aikens and his wife, Judy of Manchester, James Aikens and his wife, Cindy of Nashua, Paul Aikens of New Boston and Stanley Aikens of Manchester; two daughters, Marie Aikens of Lakeland, Florida and Dawn Aikens of New Boston; seven grandchildren, Jaime Kiser, Amber Aikens, Jesse Aikens, Steven Aikens, Shaun Aikens, Kyle Aikens and Korin Aikens; and one sister, Millie Quimby of Lakeland, Florida. There will be a Memorial Reception on Thursday, September 16 form 4:00 until 6:00 PM at the Cremation Society of New Hampshire (an affiliate of Phaneuf Funeral Home), 243 Hanover Street in Manchester.
