It is with our deepest sadness we announce the passing of Charles “Chuck” “Charlie” Everett Carmichael, Jr., who passed away unexpectedly on April 28, 2023. A loving and devoted husband, father, brother-in-law, brother, son and a friend to all who were blessed to have known him.
Born in Exeter, NH in September of 1968, Charlie grew up in Portsmouth, NH, where he resided until he met his beautiful wife, Cheryl. Together, they moved to Dover, NH, where he started his family, which he devoted his life to. Charlie worked at Market Basket for just shy of a 40-year tenure in most of the seacoast area. He loved sports especially the Boston Bruins & the NE Patriots, which he attended games with his son and sometimes his daughter & wife. He was & will always be an incredible Dad, guiding his children as he was incredibly proud of them.
Charlie was all about family and loved them deeply with all of his heart, as he lit up when talking about them. He was an incredible person as he touched so many lives, bringing a smile to all with his resting bitch face. He loved to laugh and had such a great sense of humor, which will be deeply missed. He was so blessed to have such an amazing group of friends and work family that he truly treasured the connections and friendships he made over the years.
Charlie is survived by his wonderful and devoted wife, Cheryl Carmichael; his beautiful daughter, Kimberlee Carmichael; his beloved son, Kyle Carmichael; his sister, Ann Greene and her husband David of Rockport, MA; his brother-in-law, Andrew Sable and his wife Aimee of Epping, NH; his brother-in-law, John Sable and his wife Maria of Belmont, NH; nieces, Kayleigh Greene, Katelyn and Michaela Sable; nephews, Jacob Greene and Aaron Sable; his aunts and uncle, Uncle Dan Holtz, Uncle Ron and Aunt Annette Holtz, Aunt Polly and Uncle David Williams, and Uncle Richard and Aunt Kathy Carmichael; and cousins, Sam, Mary Grace, Kellye, Mary, and Tina; family friend, Rich Doyle; and countless co-workers as well as friends.
Charlie was predeceased by his parents, Charles & Veronica Carmichael; uncles, Michael Holtz, Eddie Holtz, and Arthur Carmichael; and aunt, Agnes Taylor.
We have been blessed to have this wonderful son, brother, husband, father, uncle, friend, and Papa to the fur babies in our lives for 54 years for which we all have the memories left behind for a lifetime. Good night, Charlie…love you longtime.
