Charles Carl Danton

Charles Carl Danton, 64, passed away on Thursday, July 10, 2014, at Community Hospice House in Merrimack, NH. He was born on April 18,1950 in Springfield, Massachusetts to Carl Charles Danton and Helen(Stowers) Danton.

Charles grew up in Springfield, Massachusetts. He graduated from Technical School in Springfield in 1968. After high school he:

• attended college at Miami-Dade Junior College in 1968 where he received an Associates degree in Computer Science.
• joined the United States Air Force in 1970 and served for 23 years. He served in the Vietnam War and Persian Gulf War. He was the recipient of Meritorious Service award. He was retired in 1992, achieving the rank of Master Sergeant.
• began work for uReach(Genband) as a technical support engineer where he worked for 5 years.

Charles married Jacqueline(Picard) in 1971 in Springfield, Ma. They were happily married for 43 years. Charles was a member of the American Legion. He enjoyed adoring his grandchildren, Ford Mustangs(the older, the better!), computers, hanging out at his firepit, and listening to music..

Charles is survived by his mother, Helen of Springfield, Ma,;his spouse, Jacqueline of Merrimack, NH; his son and daughter-in-law, Craig and Carrie Danton of Hooksett, NH; son and daughter-in-law, Tim and Sarah Danton of Pittsfield, NH; grandchildren, Cebastian and Claudia Danton of Hooksett, NH; Trevor and Kaitlyn Danton of Pittsfield, NH; sister, Judith (Danton) Glynn of Springfield, Ma; Several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at the American Legion Post 98, 43 Baboosic Lake Rd, Merrimack, NH at 12pm – 5pm, Saturday, August 9, 2014.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations be made to Home Health & Hospice Care, 7 Executive Park Drive, Merrimack, NH 03054
