Charles Harold ''Harry'' Harriman, 75, of Village Green, Hampstead, NH died Thursday, September 20, 2001, at the Veteran Hospital, West Roxsbury, Ma. He was born in Andover, Ma. on September 8, 1926, the son of Charles and Yvonne (Pelletier) Harriman. Harry graduated from Haverhill Trade School. He was retired from the US Navy and served during WWII. He was awarded the World War II Victory Medal and the American Area Medal. Mr. Harriman was a lifeitm e member of the Kingston Veteran Club, Plaistow American Legion Post 0034 and the VFW. He was a longtime employee of Merrimac Metal and Ronnie's Oil. Harry was a lifelong auto racing enthusiast and formerly raced with the United Racer's Association (URDC) at area race tracks and in later years, was a starter with NESMRA. He leaves his beloved wife of 53 years, Mary ''May'' (Gould) Harriman of Hampstead, a daughter Mrs. Arthur (Jill) Bourdelais of Plaistow, three sons, Richard Harriman of Rochester, NH, Mickey and his wife Tilly Harriman of Smith Grove, Kentucky and Joey Harriman of Manchester, NH, four grandchildren, three great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son, Charles Harriman. SERVICES: A Memorial Mass wil be held Tuesday, September 25, at 10:30 AM in St. Anne's Parish, Emerson Avenue, Hampstead, NH followed by burial with military honors at Union Cemetery, New Boston Road, Newton, NH. The Cremation Society of New Hampshire is in charge of arrangements.
