Charles Jake Jacobs

Charles E. Jacobs( Jake) 68, husband of Mary Jacobs, died early Tuesday morning Dec. 4th at Harborside Applewood Nursing Home in Winchester, NH after a period of failing health. He was born in Coventy, VT February 12, 1933 the son of Charles & Iola Jacobs ( deceased) of Derby, VT. He was educated in the Derby, VT schools, and graduated from Derby Academy, in 1952. He later served 5 years in the Air Force. Charles loved farming, and did it most of his life, leaving it when he suffered a stroke 3 years ago. He also enjoyed bowling much of his life, and was on several leagues. His family was so important to him and he enjoyed having them around him. He was a member of Grace Christian Fellowship in Winchester, NH. He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Mary Jacobs of Winchester, NH and 4 children Kendra D. Severance (Bruce) of Winchester, NH, William C, Jacobs (Tonya) of Oklahoma City, OK, Kenneth D. Jacobs (Kathy) of Binghamton, NY and Tamara L Adams (David) of Northfield, Ma. 11 grandchildren and 2 great grandsons. A twelfth grandchild due end of Dec. Also survived by his sisters, Betty Jean Foster (Robert) of Cocoa , Fl, Shirley Goss(Joe) of St. Johnsbury, VT, CarolAnn Mossey (Leo) of Apopka, Fl another sister Esther Jacobs died in infancy. A Memorial Service will be held Sat. December 8th at 1pm at Grace Christian Fellowship in Winchester, NH with Rev. Matthew Worrall officiating.
