Charles H. Russell

Charles “Buddy” H. Russell, 66, of New Boston and formerly of Lynn, MA died peacefully at home with his daughter, grandson and his future son-in-law Fred Lord, Jr. by his side on March 15, 2004 following a courageous battle with cancer. Mr. Russell, born on December 31, 1937 in Laconia, NH, was the last baby born in Laconia in 1937. Buddy was the son of the late Herbert and Dorothy (Kirker) Russell. He worked in the lighting industry for Parkwood and Lam Inc, both in Wakefield, MA. After he retired, Buddy began an enlightening part time career at the indoor flea market in Lynn, MA which he thoroughly enjoyed. He was a devoted friend to his fellow AA and GA members in the Lynn area. He loved so many and so many loved him also. He over came so many obstacles in his days only to be taken from us so soon. Rarely did he have an unkind word to say about anyone. May his kind spirit live forever in the lives of his children, grandchildren and all of us who have blessed to have known him. May you rest in peace until we meet once again. Family members include; one son, John H. Russell of Manchester, NH; two daughters, Cheryl L. Russell of New Boston and Theresa A. Kennedy of Haverhill, MA; nine grandchildren; one brother, Herbert Russell Jr. of Wakefield; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a son, David S. Russell who died in 2001 and by two brothers, Robert D. Russell who died in 1998 and William B. Russell who died just a week ago. There will be a Memorial Reception on Friday, March 19 from 12:30 until 1:30 PM with a Memorial Service at 1:30 PM at the Cremation Society of New Hampshire, 243 Hanover Street in Manchester with the Rev. Chandler Newton officiating. To view an on-line obituary or to send a condolence go to www.csnh.com
