Charles R. Sawyer

Charles R. Sawyer, Sr., 91, of Tunnel Road, Grafton, NH died suddenly May 13, 2001, in his home. He was born in Jamaica Plains, Ma., on May 29, 1909, the son of the late Ralph and Mina Sawyer and resided 30 years in Grafton. Charles was a retired maintenance supervisor for American Airlines with 42 years of service. He was an avid gardener and naturalist. Charles was a devoted father and husband. Family members include his wife of 62 years, Thelma (Duncan) Sawyer of Goshen, two sons, Charles R. Sawyer, Jr., of Lebanon and Paul D. Sawyer of Grafton, NH, a brother Eugene Sawyer of North Carolina, several nieces, nephews and cousins. There will be no visiting hours and services will be at the convenience of the family. Donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 360 Route 101 Unit 501, Bedford, NH 03110. The Cremation Society of New Hampshire is in charge of arrangements.
