Charles Lewis Stanton

Charles Stanton, 90, died October 13, 2023, at his home in Nashua, NH. He was born on September 4, 1933.

Charles joined the United States Air Force and served during the Korean War.  He spoke of this as the time a young man got to see the world.  After his military service he obtained a B.S. in Mathematics from Greensboro College.  He went to work at IBM until his retirement.  He was a loving husband, father and grandfather.

Charles had a passion for animals, especially his beloved cats and dogs.  Cats seemed to migrate to his home throughout his life.   They knew a good place when they found it as he was always the man to spoil his pets.

Charles is predeceased by his mother, Anne P. Stanton Glasgow; siblings, Margaret Henderson, RD Glasgow, and Bob Glasgow; and Shirley’s daughter, Kerrin Ingalls.

He is survived by his wife of 19 years, Shirley Stanton and their blended family.  Children: Lisa and John Taylor, Heather and Dana Walker, Glenn Ingalls; Grandchildren: Kelly and Allen Davenport, Samantha and Zackary Prevost, Marissa Walker, Jordyn Walker; Great grandchildren: Taylor and Parker Davenport, Jemma and Zoey Prevost; Siblings: Elizabeth Carson, Dot Burdette, Willie Stanton Sr., nephews, nieces and their children and grandchildren.
