Charles Michael Tanner, 55, of Nashua passed away unexpectedly in a work accident October 11, 2015. He was a beloved father,son, brother, uncle and friend to many.
Born in Arlington, MA. On January 24, 1960. Charles (Mike) Tanner grew up in Lexington, MA. Charles was the son of the late Charles E. and June P. (Godfrey) Tanner. After graduating Lexington High, he enlisted in the army and served as a proud member of the 82nd Airborne Division. He earned many achievement awards during his service. His trade after the Army was as an interior and exterior painter. Charlie was considered exemplary at his work. Charlie loved to ride his Harley every chance he could no matter what the weather. His girlfriend Nancy documented through photography their travels from a back seat. The most recent trip was riding out to the West Coast, stopping in Arizona to visit his brother Ronnie.
He is survived by a beloved son Brendan Tanner of Lexington, MA; a brother Ronald Tanner of Sun City West, AZ; a sister Patricia Siek (& husband Francis) of Bartlett, NH; and his partner Nancy Scovil of Nashua, NH. Also he leaves behind his 2 nieces Dawn Landers (& husband Shawn) of Center Conway, NH, and Caroline Tanner of Tyngsboro MA; and Nephew Jason Tanner of Columbus, OH.
Relatives and friends are invited to Charlie's Life Celebration from 11am to 4pm at the Cremation Society of New Hampshire, 243 Hanover Street in Manchester, NH on Sunday, October 25, 2015. Burial with military honors will take place Monday, October 26, 2015 at noon at the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery, 110 Daniel Webster Highway in Boscawen, NH. Attendees are welcome to gather for procession at 11:30am in the parking lot of Cremation Society of NH, 172 King Street in Boscawen, NH (please be aware this is not the same location as the Life Celebration).
