Charles Vorias

Charles C. Vorias, 89, of Manchester, passed away at Bedford Falls in Bedford on October 19, 2016.

He was born in Biddeford, ME on February 7, 1927, the son of Ernest and Anastasia (Sarales) Vorias. He was a Korean War Air Force Veteran. During the war, he was a pilot where he flew 124 reconnaissance missions. He owned and operate Chelby's Pizza for over 30 years. He enjoyed playing bridge and poker with his friends. He loved golf and had recorded six lifetime hole in ones! He also was an avid bird watcher. He was predeceased by his wife, Elly (Kyratzsis) Vorias in 2011.

Family members include two sons, Chuck Vorias and his wife Sara of Hooksett and Bill Vorias and his wife Shana Potvin of Bedford; a daughter, Nicole Vorias of Manhasset, Long Island, NY; five grandchildren, Ella, Logan, Brady, Kosta and Jack; a brother, Jimmy Vorias and a sister, Mary Vorias, both of Old Orchard Beach, ME.

A gathering will take place at Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 243 Hanover St., Manchester on Tuesday October 25 from 11:00 AM to 1 PM. Committal services with military honors will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery at 1:30 PM. To view an online memorial or more information, go to www.phaneuf.net.
