Charlotte Lynn (Liscombe) Landry of East Wakefield, NH passed away on Tuesday April 8, 2025.
Charlotte was born on January 11, 1966, in Meadow Bridge, West Virginia. She was the daughter of Paul J. Liscombe and Brenda (Brown) Liscombe. She married David A. Landry on January 20, 1989.
Charlotte was a graduate of Salem High School in NH in 1984. She was employed by Service Merchandise until 1989. She then worked for Raytheon Company until 1991. Charlotte stayed at home to raise her two sons and to homeschool them. From 2006 to 2010 she worked as a Personal Care Assistant caring for sickly elderly patients and people with disabilities. She really loved this job and found caring for other people to be very rewarding. Charlotte became ill late in 2009 from the effects of diabetes and was unable to return to her PCA position. She opened her own hedgehog breeding business in 2013 and continued it until 2015 when she had to close it due to her health and vision loss. With help from the NH Association of the blind, Charlotte took online classes and received an Associate’s Degree in Business Management and Accounting and was on the President’s list as well as the Dean’s list. In 2018 she worked remotely for an online company named JLodge. In 2022 she launched her business Charlotte’s Basic Bookkeeping which she ran until 2024.
Charlotte loved people and was a consummate extravert who was always making friends. She always seemed to find people who needed help, and she was such a great listener. She very often prayed with people spontaneously no matter the location or circumstances. Charlotte was also a good loyal friend to so many people. Prior to losing her vision, Charlotte loved to take long drives and to craft with plastic canvases, embroidery, painting, and knitting.
Those left to honor her memory include her husband, David A. Landry, Sr.; her children, David A. Landry Jr. of Wakefield NH, Nathan S. Landry of East Wakefield NH, her stepdaughter, Heather L. (Olofson) Burnell and stepson, Ben Burnell and one grandson, Theodore Burnell of Germany. She also leaves her parents, Paul J. Liscombe and Brenda (Brown) Liscombe of Wakefield, NH, a sister, Theresa (Liscombe) Vengren, and brother-in-law, John Vengren, of Wakefield, NH, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Charlotte also had several long-time friends such as, Nancy Blanchette of Groveland, MA, Cindy Leclair of Hudson, NH and Michelle Castner of Mount Sterling, KY. She also had many long-time friends from the Church of the Nazarene as well as from Awaken Great Bay Church.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Cornerstone VNA, 178 Farmington Rd, Rochester NH in Charlotte’s name.
