Cheryl A. Towle

Cheryl Ann Towle (Connolly), born on October 21, 1950, to John and Katherine (McGonagle) Connolly in Rosendale, Massachusetts, passed away surrounded by her family. Cheryl grew up in Rosendale, where she graduated from Rosendale High School in 1968. That same year, the Connolly family moved to the Newfound area, which would become Cheryl’s home and the place where she would build a life rooted in love and service. In February of 1970, she married the love of her life, Gerard Towle, a union that would last for decades until his passing.

For 25 years, Cheryl worked as a dedicated school bus driver for the Newfound area schools, touching the lives of countless children with her steady presence and warm heart. She retired in 2012 after faithfully serving her community. Outside of work, Cheryl was a devoted member of New Covenant Christian Church in Laconia, where she was actively involved in the music ministry, a reflection of her deep faith and passion for worship.

While Cheryl found joy in her garden and church community, her greatest love was her family. She was affectionately called “Cher” or “Blondie” by her husband, reminiscent of his guitar, as he lovingly saw her as the rhythm of his life. Cheryl was the center of her family’s world, offering endless support, love, and wisdom to all.

Cheryl is survived by her two beloved daughters, Valerie Nason and Faith Towle; her cherished grandchildren, Andre Call, Brianna Coleman, Danielle Giordano, and Caoilainn Voelbel; and her treasured great-grandchildren, Henry and Ellie Coleman, and Everett Giordano. She also leaves behind her sisters, Karen Connolly of Meredith, Darlene Connolly of Franklin, and Barbara Connolly of Billerica, Massachusetts.

She is predeceased by her husband, Gerard Towle, who has awaited her in peace.

A graveside service to honor Cheryl’s life will be held on October 12, 2024, at 12 P.M. at the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery, 110 Daniel Webster Hwy, Boscawen, NH 03303. Cheryl’s legacy of love, strength, and faith will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
