Chester A. Cole

Chester (Chet) A. Cole of Barrington, NH passed away March 9th, 2023 at Frisbie Memorial Hospital in Rochester, NH at the age of 76. 

Chet was born in Lynn, MA on December 31st, 1946 to Robert F. Cole Sr. and Mildred Cole. Chet grew up in Lynn, MA and spent his summers as a child on Little Neck in Ipswich, MA with his family. Chet was a graduate of Lynn English High School, Class of 1964 and a Navy Veteran who served on the USS Richard S. Edwards as Gunner’s Mate 3rd class. Before and after his service in the Navy he worked for General Electric Company of Lynn, MA and Somersworth, NH until his retirement in 2010 after 45 years. He met his wife Linda Cole (Coviello) in Lynn, MA and they married in 1977. Chet and Linda moved to Lee, NH in 1980 and then to Barrington NH in 2018. He enjoyed the outdoors and was an avid fisherman and gardener.

Chet is survived by his wife of 45 years, Linda Cole, daughters Shannon Cole of Barrington, NH and Katelyn Cole of Lynn MA, brother Robert Cole Jr. of Salem MA, father-in-law Richard Coviello Sr of Lynn MA., brother-in-law Richard Coviello Jr. of Lynn, MA, brother-law Danny Coviello and his wife Maureen of Effingham, NH, Michael Coviello and his wife Valerie of Effingham, NH, sister-in-law Sandra Manoogian and husband Peter of Saugus, MA, sister-in-law Sharon Coviello of Lynn, MA, sister-in-law Terry McCarthy and husband Joe of Saugus, MA, many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews, and several close friends. He is preceded by his father Robert F. Cole Sr., mother Mildred Cole, sister-in-law Geraldine Cole, and mother-in-law Eleanor Coviello.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his memory to the Wounded Warrior Project.
