Chester R. Wellman

Chester R. Wellman, 88, of 183 Old Dublin Road, Peterborough died on March 14, 2000 at Monadnock Community Hospital after a short illness. Mr. Wellman was born on August 26, 1911 in Riverside, Illinois, the son of the late Charles and Clara (Molkentine) Wellman. He was a lawyer for Illinois National Bank in Rockford, Illinois for over 25 years. He was a member of the EAA (Experimental Aircraft Association) where he owner, repaired and restored many aircraft's in his time. His passion for flying led him to be an flight instructor for the Army Aircorp in the 1940's. Family members include; one daughter, Mrs. Charles (Kaaren) Scanio of Winchendon, MA and two grandsons. He was predeceased by his wife, Adalhard (Voss) Wellman.
