Christina P. Folsom

Chris was born in Plainfield, New Jersey on April 23, 1937. After a long illness, she died at her home in New Hampton, New Hampshire on September 20, 2003. Christina had dedicated her life to teaching. After retiring from the Wellington School in Belmont, Massachusetts she moved to Nokomis, Florida. Once again she felt called and joined the teaching staff of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic School in Port Charlotte, Florida. In June of 2000 Chris returned to New Hampshire to undergo treatment for her breast cancer at Massachusetts General Hospital. Again she continued in the teaching field as a tutor in the Gilmanton School System. She also performed volunteer work at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Meredith. She will be remembered for her dedication to teach children, her radiant smile and a strong will to follow her beliefs. Chris will be missed for all that she meant to each of us by those who knew and loved her. She leaves behind: her husband, Dick Folsom; sister, Tillie Mack of Lakeland, Florida and brother; Jim Perna of Port Murray, New Jersey. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Meredith, New Hampshire on Saturday, October 18 at 10:00 AM. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Pemi-Baker Home Health & Hospice, 258 Highland Street, Suite 14, Plymouth, New Hampshire 03264.
