Christine L. Brown, 44, of 502 Boston Post Road in Merrimack died on May 25, 2002 at Southern New Hampshire Regional Hospital in Nashua after a long tough battle with Muscular Dystrophy. Mrs. Brown was born on September 23, 1957 in Glens Falls, New York the daughter of Harry and Calista (Whittemore) LaBrum. She graduated from Merrimack Area Senior High School in 1975 and received her Associates Degree from New Hampshire Vocational Technical Institute in Nashua in 1977. For the past several years Christine was a secretary for the State of New Hampshire, Department of Education Vocational Rehabilitation in Nashua. She was a member of the Muscular Dystrophy Association of New Hampshire. She had been a parishioner of Main Street United Methodist Church in Nashua since 1964 and over the years had taught Sunday School to first graders with the help of her husband. Family members include; her husband of 19 years, William A. Brown; one son, Matthew Brown of Merrimack; her mother Calista LaBrum of Amherst; one brother, Randy LaBrum of Merrimack; a sister, Dawn Charron of Amherst; and several nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will take place on Sunday, June 9 th at 2:00 PM at Main Street United Methodist Church, 154 Main Street, Nashua. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Christine's name to the MDA, 360 Route 101 suite 3A, Bedford, NH 03110.
