Christine Ann Lyons

Christine Ann Lyons,76, passed away on December 14, 2021 at Springfield River Nursing Home­­­ in Springfield, VT. She was born on December 14, 1945 in Brattleboro, VT, the son/daughter of Daniel Lyons and Bernice (Bracket) Lyons.

Christine was a lifelong resident of southern Vermont, attended grade school at St. Michael’s and graduating from Brattleboro High School. Many will fondly remember Christine from her time as an adolescent case worker at the Brattleboro Retreat where she worked for over twenty years. When she was not working she enjoyed time with her family, friends, and pets.

In addition to her parents, Christine was predeceased by her sister Peggy Adams. Christine is survived and will be greatly missed by her sister Jeannie Leavitt and her husband Bob Leavitt of Brattleboro, her brother James Lyons of Dover and her brother-in-law, Marty Adams of Brattleboro, her best friend and caregiver, Angela Burnett of Putney VT, her friend John Gale of Putney, her friend Paige Gale of Putney, and her honorary grandson Chad Burnett JR of Putney VT, her seven nieces Bridget Phillsbury,, Jesse Hopkins, Marta Adams, Karen Pratt, Micky Lane, Jennifer, and Maggie. She is also survived by her nephew Timothy Pratt and wife Karen along with many great nieces and nephews.
