Christopher D. Peverley, 56, of Plymouth, NH, passed away on Monday, October 26, 2026, following a period of declining health.

Born in Methuen, MA, Christopher was the son of Rodney and Claire (Straw) Peverley. He attended Marsh Connor Elementary School and Tenney Middle School before graduating from Greater Lawrence Technical School. In 1989, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps, serving honorably until his discharge in 1991.

Christopher was a dedicated and hardworking man who owned and operated C&R Construction for many years throughout the Salem, Lawrence, and Methuen areas of Massachusetts. He took great pride in his work and deeply enjoyed the career he built for himself.

When he wasn't working, Christopher could often be found enjoying the outdoors. He loved boating, hiking, riding his motorcycle, swimming, fishing, whitewater rafting, and hunting. Whether on the water, exploring the trails, or pursuing one of his many outdoor interests, he found happiness in being outside and making the most of life.

Above all, Christopher had an extraordinary love for children. He opened his heart and home to the young people in his life, serving as a surrogate grandfather to more than a dozen children in his circle. That love grew even deeper when he legally adopted two of his partner's grandchildren, making them an official part of his family.

Christopher is survived by his mother, Claire Peverley, of Belmont, NH; his son, Ethan Peverley, of Manchester, NH; his daughter, Jasmine Peverley, of Seabrook, NH; and Shayne Perkins, whom he loved as one of his own. He also leaves behind 12 grandchildren, with another little girl expected in March, and six great-grandchildren, with a precious baby boy anticipated in December. He was predeceased by his father, Rodney Peverley.

The family will receive visitors Saturday, November 14, 2026, 11:00am-12:00pm at Rand Memorial Congregational Church, 134 South Main Street, Seabrook, NH, with Memorial Service beginning at noon. Committal with military honors at New Hampshire State Veteran’s Cemetery in Boscawen will take place at a later date. Assisting with arrangements is the Cremation Society of New Hampshire, Boscawen.
