Clarabel B. Hersey

Clarabel B. Hersey, 84, of 51 Old Center Road, Deerfield, NH died on May 16, 2000 at Catholic Medical Center after a short illness. Ms. Hersey was born on January 15, 1916 in Washington to the late Ralph and Edna (Hush) Buchanan. She spent most of her life in Washington until moving to Deerfield in 1963. She was a member of Deerfield Historical Society, Woman’s Club of Deerfield and NH Gemology Society. She sang with Sweet Adelines. She was an avid gardener and was past President of the Garden Club in Deerfield. She also ran a flower concession at the Deerfield Fair for many years. Ms. Hersey enjoyed quilting and belonged to several quilting clubs. Family members include; two sons, Everett Donald Hersey, Jr. and David Hersey both of Deerfield, NH; two daughters, Norma Sybrant of Washinton and Nancy Moseley of South Carolina; five grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Everett D. Hersey and Daniel Hersey. There will be a Memorial Service on Saturday, May 20, 2000 at Deerfield Congregational Church at 11:00 AM.
