Clarence R. Haskins, 88, of Manchester, NH (affectionately known as Mickey) died November 1st, 2021 with his loving wife holding his hand by his side.
He was born April 7, 1933 in Lebanon, NH to the late Ray and Ethel (O'Brien) Haskins.
After graduating from Lebanon High School, he enlisted in the United States Navy during the Korean Conflict and while on board the USS Bennington he graduated as an electrical engineer and served on the USS Lake Champlain, and the USS Duxbury Bay.
After his honorable discharge from the Navy, he learned the trade of a tool maker machinist and worked at Kollsman Co. in Merrimack for over ten years. When they closed, he worked at Carr Tool Co. as a tool maker machinist for over 30 years.
Clarence retired at the age 84. His hobby was woodworking and making beautiful things on his scroll saw.
He married his best friend and sweetheart Mae, in 1980 at St. Francis of Assisi Church.
He leaves his devoted wife of 42 and half years, Mae (Gilman) Haskins. Also, a brother Albert Haskins of PA.
Cremation Society of NH is in charge of the arrangements. Mickey's wishes were to be cremated so there will be no calling hours. A military service will be held at the NH State Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen, NH in the spring at the convenience of his wife. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Animal Rescue League in Bedford, NH.
