Clarence Punk J. Thornton, 53, of Charlestown died September 21, 2005 at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon. He was born on October 12, 1951 in Claremont, the son of the late Clarence and Cora (Roberts) Thornton. He traveled the country on his motorcycle, however it was his one true passion that also took his life. Family members include; three sons, Christopher Thornton and Daniel Thornton both of North Strafford and Benjamin Cass Thornton of Groveton; one granddaughter, Tiasa Thornton; one brother, Clate Parrotto of Newport, NH; four sisters, Junetta Simmers of Winchendon, MA, Barbara Cutting of Lebanon, Judy Dalton of Newport, NH and Esther Thornton of Newport, VT; a special cousin and friend, Lawrence Click of Claremont; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a grandson, Joey. A family gathering to celebrate his life will be held on Sunday, October 2nd from 1:00 until 3:00 PM at the home of Tom and Christa Thornton on 99 Beech Street in Newport.
