After a courageous three-and-a-half-year battle with Lewy Body Dementia, Claudette Fox, affectionately known as “Gigi” or “Greta,” passed away peacefully on Sunday afternoon at the Arbors of Bedford, surrounded by her loving family—her daughter Heidi, son-in-law Larry, and granddaughter Victoria.
Born in Nashua, NH, on April 18, 1947, Gigi was the beloved daughter of the late Roland and Emma Tourigny. She was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Bryan Fox, and her siblings Denise and Rene Tourigny.
Gigi is survived by her three children: Heidi Moore and her husband Larry, Kelly Fox, and Jamie Fox. She also leaves behind four cherished grandchildren: Mason and his significant other Victoria Scaffardi, Lexi Moore and her significant other Pace Ferro, Stella Fox, and Emma Fox. Her sister, Jacky McGowan, also survives her.
Throughout her life, Gigi held various roles, including serving as a lunch monitor in the Nashua School District, a para in the Nashua ESY program, and a Patient Companion at Southern New Hampshire Medical Center. Her heart was always in the right place—she was ever-willing to help friends and family, never asking for anything in return.
Gigi and Bryan shared a deep bond, spending 48 years together before Bryan's passing in 2016. They loved going to auctions, antiquing, and exploring the coast of Maine, often setting out with no agenda and discovering charming places to eat along the way. Gigi was a dedicated and supportive mother, always present at her children’s concerts and sporting events. She found her greatest joy in the company of her children and grandchildren.
Even as Lewy Body Dementia took its toll, Gigi's spirit remained bright. She made a profound impact on both residents and staff at the Arbors of Bedford Memory Care Facility, where she spent her final months. Her infectious positivity and selflessness were a source of joy and inspiration to all who knew her. Gigi’s favorite pastime was shopping, and she especially enjoyed a recent surprise visit to see her sister in Florida, delighting in exploring every “Beall’s” store from Fort Myers to Orlando.
In her own words, Gigi expressed her dedication to others with humor, often responding with unrelated but endearing remarks that brought laughter to those around her. Her warmth, kindness, and unyielding love touched many lives and will be remembered fondly.
The family extends heartfelt thanks to the Arbors of Bedford for the exceptional care and love they provided Gigi during her time there. Her memory will live on in the hearts of those she touched.
We will “always love you”
