Claudette M. Roy

Claudette M. Roy, 72, of Nashua, NH, passed away on April 28, 2022 after a battle with lung cancer.  She was surrounded by her loved ones at home when she passed.

Claudette was born on October 9, 1949 to Willie Roy and Olivine Roy (Bouchard) in Guerrette, Maine.  She comes from a loving family of 14 children.  After the family moved to Lawrence, Massachusetts she worked at Stride Rite Shoe for 20 years then later worked as a certified nurses’ aide at Nevins Nursing Home until she retired.  She was loved by her patients and colleagues for her hard-working and compassionate nature of caring for others.

She is survived by her daughter, Michelle Thomas-Roy and wife Stacey Thomas-Roy, and a proud grandmother to Olivia and Laura Thomas-Roy. 

Claudette was a passionate bingo and card player.  You could always find her with a bingo dauber or a bag of coins in hand ready to play.  She also enjoyed fishing with her family.

She will be deeply missed by her family Kay and Reginald Nadeau, Annette and Raymond Narey, Madeline and Thomas Matachun, Maryline and George Daley, Joe Roy and Linda Poulin, Rita and Jim Germano, her best friend, Frances Nutter, nieces, nephews and friends.

Claudette was predeceased by her twin, Reginald Roy, Bill and Lucille Roy, Emery and Connie Roy, Donna and Kenny Catalano, Bea Roy, Freda Roy and Ronald Roy.

SERVICES: A memorial service will be held on Friday, May 6, 11:00 am at Mary Queen of Peace Church, 200 Lawrence Road, in Salem, NH.  Committal prayers will follow at Bellevue Cemetery in Lawrence, Massachusetts.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Mary Queen of Peace Church, in memory of Claudette.
