Clayton Bagley

Clayton Aurice Bagley, 88, of Candia, NH passed away on January 4, 2024.  He was born in East Derry, NH on July 25, 1935, to Francis Loring Bagley and Vialette McFarland Graham.  Clayton spent most of his childhood living in Fremont, NH.

Clayton joined the US Navy when he was 17 and served from December 1952 to July 1956.  He served on the USS Wiltsie (DD-716) as a Quartermaster Signalman during the Korean Conflict.

Upon his return to NH, he married his love, Marilyn (Sue) Margelot on July 7, 1958, and resided in Raymond, NH and later in Deerfield, NH. Clayton worked his entire career for Raytheon.  He attended night school and became an Engineer.  In the mid 70’s, he opened his business, Bagley Woodcraft.  He continued working for Raytheon and worked evenings/weekends running his business.  He took an early retirement from Raytheon after 37 years and closed his business.

Clayton and Sue spent summer family vacations in Ormond Beach, FL. They also had a love for history and spent time visiting historical battlefields.  Clayton took pride in his yard and would spend countless hours working on his beautiful flower gardens.  He was an avid hunter which he pursued until he was 87.  He also enjoyed camping, kayaking and the outdoors.

Clayton is predeceased by his parents; his wife, Sue Bagley; and most recent, Pauline Beauchamp Bagley.  He is survived by his daughter, Sherry and Bob Moulton; son, Rick and Tracy Bagley; grandchildren, Samantha Sanders, Alex O’Donnell, Dylan Bagley, and Melissa Provost; great grandchildren, Ava Bagley and Quinn O’Donnell. He is also survived by his brother, Sanford Alton Graham, and many nieces and nephews.  

ARRANGEMENTS: His Memorial Gathering will be held on Saturday, January 20 from 4:00 to 5:00PM followed by a Celebration of Life at 5:00. Family and friends are invited to stay for light refreshments and fellowship. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy can be made in Clayton’s memory to a charity of one’s choice.
