Clinton R. "Bob" Fraser

d. December 31, 2022

Derry, NH

Clinton R. “Bob” Fraser, 85, passed away Saturday, December 31, 2022. Bob was the loving husband of Jeannette G. (Belanger) Fraser, and the son of Chester L. and Louise Y. (Tessier) Fraser who predeceased him.

He was born in Cambridge, MA and grew up in Somerville. When he was a teenager, the family moved to Westford where they built a farmstead. Bob went on to play football in high school becoming a co-captain his senior year. He proudly served in the US Navy Reserves. He met his life companion, Jeannette, at an ice-skating party in Tyngsborough, MA and they married in September of 1961. His love for her was inspiring and total. They went on many adventures together from owning businesses, traveling the country for ten weeks with the family, to touring Europe, Alaska, and the Caribbean. Together, they raised their family in Pelham, NH and then moved to their cottage in Washington, NH.  Bob had careers as a landlord, homebuilder, tavern owner, machinist, and Master Electrician.

Confident, optimistic, and good-natured, Bob made things happen. He was a friend to everyone and always had an extra place at his table. In Washington, he spearheaded many community causes. For the kids, he expanded access to summer camp and started a bookmobile program. For the town, he secured grants for town building projects and worked to get a cell tower. For seniors, he cooked dinners at Camp Morgan and created a free exchange shop for home care equipment.

Family was dear to him. Bob went to every dance recital, sporting event, and school play for his grandkids. His kids were able to pursue their dreams because of his confidence in them and support. He was always there with a hammer, timely advice, or a hand up. With his wife Jeannette, everything was possible.

Besides his wife of 61 years, Bob leaves two sons, Robert P. Fraser of Salem, NH and Mark F. Fraser and his wife, Mandy of North Kingstown, RI; and a daughter, Ann C. Trainor and her husband, David of Dracut, MA. Infant daughter, Catherine A. Fraser predeceased him. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
